Regulations

Competition Regulations

1. The competition will be held at Amerena Swimming Pool, De Velduil 2, 3815 XT Amersfoort.

2. The competition will take place in a 50-meter pool with 10 lanes

.3. Times will be recorded using electronic timing.

4. During the heats, overhead starts will be used; this will not apply during the finals.

5. The regulations of World Aquatics apply.

6. In all situations not covered by these regulations and/or the competition regulations, the final responsibility lies with the organizing committee

.7. The competition is open to swimmers born in 2015 and earlier

.8. The heats will be swum in the open category.

9. The finals are divided per age category.

10. ZPC AMERSFOORT reserves the right to add or refuse participants and/or to adjust the competition rules if circumstances require this.

11. Photos or video recordings may be made of every participant, coach, spectator, and official, which may be published via various websites or social media. Everyone present at the ISMA automatically agrees to this

.12. Prize winners must collect their prizes in person

.13. On Friday, the competition will be held in one session. The competitions on Saturday and Sunday are divided into three sessions: the fastest five heats per event will be swum in the morning session, the remaining heats in the early afternoon session, and the finals in the evening session.

14. The 200-meter and 400-meter events are timed finals (TF = timed final), with the exception of the 200-meter freestyle and the 200-meter individual medley.

15. The number of coach passes per club is determined as follows:

- 1 to 5 participants: 1 coach pass

- 6 to 10 participants: 2 coach passes

- 11 or more participants: 3 coach passes

Additional coach passes (for the entire event) can be requested upon registration at a cost of €10 per pass.

Age Categories

Swimming will be conducted in the following categories:

U12 – 2014/2015
U14 – 2012/2013
U16 – 2010/2011
U18 – 2008/2009

Open – 2013 and older

General

1. During the evening sessions on Saturday and Sunday (sessions 4 and 7), the finals will be swum, depending on the number of available lanes (10).

2. In the super final (200-meter freestyle and 200-meter individual medley), only the 4 fastest swimmers are selected for the final. The 4 fastest swimmers from all age categories will compete in the super final in the open category. The remaining swimmers qualify for the super final per age category.

3. For each distance, the finals are swum from the youngest age category up to and including the open category.

4. A medal ceremony will take place immediately after each final.

5. The three fastest swimmers in each age category will receive a prize.

Withdrawals

1. Withdrawals for the finals can only be submitted in writing by a coach/representative or an adult swimmer within 30 minutes after the publication of the results of the respective session, using the designated form.

2. Only swimmers ranked 11th to 20th are eligible to advance to the finals after the withdrawal period has ended.

3. After all withdrawals for an event have been processed, the final start list will be published.

Knockout – Relays

1. On Saturday, a knockout 4×50 meter freestyle mixed relay will be held.

2. Clubs have the option to enter multiple teams.

3. The heats will be held during the Saturday morning session (session 2). The 40 fastest teams qualify for this round.

4. After the heats, the 18 fastest teams advance to the semifinals. These will be held at the beginning of the last session on Saturday (session 4).

5. After the semifinals, the 8 fastest teams advance to the final, which will be held at the end of the last session (session 4).

6. Each relay team may change a maximum of 2 swimmers between rounds.

10–11-Year-Olds

1. For the U12 age category, only finals will be held for the 50-meter events. Two of these finals will take place during the finals on Saturday (session 4) and two on Sunday (session 7).

2. For swimmers in this age group, a mixed 4×50 meter medley relay will be held. Prizes will be awarded in this age group. This relay will take place during the Sunday morning session (session 5).

Registration

1. The LXF file and the PDF file containing the registration must be sent to: registration@isma-swim.com

2. We request that you use the following name for the entry file: 2026-02-20-<club name>-ISMA2026.lxf The date and location of the competition must be included with the entry times. Entries must be submitted using the fastest time from the specified period, regardless of whether it is a 25-meter or 50-meter pool time.

3. Entering with qualifying times is possible from January 1, 2025.

4. We will always confirm receipt of your entry within two days.

5. Entries close on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 20:00. The meet schedules will then be published as soon as possible.

6. If the available competition time is exceeded due to a large number of entries, swimmers may be placed on a reserve list. Clubs can verify this on the website www.isma-swim.com.

7. In the event of a withdrawal, a replacement swimmer will be entered and the heatsheets will be adjusted.

8. Withdrawals can be processed in the start list until Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 20:00. Any reserve swimmers will then automatically be removed from the heatsheets of the program. Withdrawals after this time are possible until the start of the officials’ meeting of each session at the officials’ desk in the pool and will be registered as “did not start” (DNS). Entry fees will be charged.

9. The final start list will be published no later than Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

10. Participating Dutch clubs with 1 to 5 swimmers must enter 1 official with timekeeping certification; with 6 to 10 swimmers, 2 officials; and with more than 10 swimmers, 3 officials. Officials must be registered at the time of entry via email: officials.wz@zpcamersfoort.nl, with the subject: “Officials ISMA” and the name of the club. Please specify separately for each day: initials and surname, gender (m/f), and the qualification level of each official. Also include in the email the name and email address of the contact person for the final officials list. If no officials are submitted, the entry may be cancelled.

11. The contact person of the swim team/club will always receive confirmation from the organizing committee as to whether the submitted officials have been accepted. The officials overview will be published by email a few days before the competition.

Fees

Individual Events

- Fee per start 50 m: €7,50

- Fee per start 100 m or longer: €10,00

Relays

- Fee per team: €20,00

1. The entry fees must be transferred no later than Thursday, February 19, 2026 to bank account:
NL15 RABO 0378 9968 27, BIC: RABONL2U, in the name of Zwem- en Poloclub Amersfoort, stating “ISMA – club name”.

2. Please take bank processing times into account when transferring the entry fees. Cash payments are not permitted. Refunds of entry fees for swimmers withdrawn in time will be made after the competition

Programs

1. The organizing committee does not offer programs for sale.

.2 Two programs will be made available per club for the coaches.

3. The start lists will be published on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 on the website www.isma-swim.com. If additional programs for coaches are required, please print them yourself.
